Interesting Japanese Postcard?

Question:
A friend of mine recently came across this postcard. I was wondering ifanyone on this list could tell me something about it. I particular we areinterested to know what the text on the front of the postcard says.Unfortunately neither of us can read Japanese.

The postcard can be viewed at:http://www-personal.monash.edu.au/~pstagg/japostcard/

Answer: Given your address, I suggest you nip over to the Computer Science &Software Engineering Dept It looks like one of the Edo ukiyo-e pictures I saw at an exhibitionrecently. I was intrigued that the hiragana of 300 years ago looked thesame as they do today, somehow I'd not expected that. The cursive kanjiwere indecipherable to me though. The artwork looks like Hokusan's style. As for the entire front, I've seen it before. I don't remember where, butI've seen it before. The Kanji for "beauty" and "beautiful person" keeps repeating in the text. The third character in the title is "Kami." I know what some othercharacters mean in Chinese, but I don't think that will help you.
