Postcard Marketing

Question:
I'm intrigued by Martha Retallick's approach toward marketing usingpostcards (http://www.PostcardMarketingSecrets.com). I'd love to hearfeedback from any designers who've used postcards as a marketingtechnique, whether or not it's worked for you.

Additionally, if you'd care to share any marketing techniques you'vefound effective.Thank for reply

Answer: I can't say I've had stellar success, but its a good way to keep in touch withclients and introduce yourself painlessly to potential clients. I do a fewwhenever I can afford it. If I was more thorough and consistant I'm sure itwould work better.

They're relatively cheap. 500 for about $125. from 4by6.com (not a plug, but Ilike their printing the best of the places I've used).

I usually try and do 3 or 4 at a time so I have a stockpile for a few months.

Its a fun way to show new work.

Its fairly easy to build a list and add to it, using a contact program to printlabels.

You can pass them out to new business acquaintances when the need arises.

Certainly can't hurt.

Occasionally I've gotten calls from recipients recognizing the mailing, whichis nice.
