Question: I'm trying to do a mail merge in Publisher to a postcardthat has been cut from 1/4 of a standard sheet of paper(i.e. 4.25" x 5.5") When I select that size in Publisherit trys to print that right in the middle of a standardsheet of paper. I selected the printer properties butdon't have a standard size like that available(HP LaserJet5 & 4 and a Minolta/QMS Magicolor 2200 Color Desktop). I'm working on XP Pro and 2000 server. I've gone intoPrinters & Settings and selected File/Server Properties and created a 1/4 of the correct size. That selectiondoes not show up on the available selections on of of myprinters. How can I get Publisher to print on a customsize of paper?
Answer: What version Publisher? The postcard setup is in the print dialogue. When you click print, click the pageoptions, you can choose print multiple copies per sheet. (Publisher 2000 & 98).In Publisher 2002 the setup is under file, page setup. I merge postcards all the time through Publisher, with multiple copies per sheet. Youare making a simple project hard. Once you have the merge in place, choose themultiple copies per sheet. Every postcard will have a different address. Run asample on a plain piece of paper, there is an option for this in the print dialogue
